ENCLOSED CRAFTBOT- FULL ENCLOSURE

ENCLOSED CRAFTBOT- FULL ENCLOSURE

cults3d

Hello to everyone, i have the printer in my bedroom and due to smell made of fused filament it's very unealthy to stay there while i'm printing. The worst thing is also that i can't open any windows because, if printing abs, the airflow 'hit' the bed causing the detachment of the print object. So i decided to full enclose this printer, the craftbot plus (you can use the same design also for craftbot and craftbot 2), trying to limit the cost of the materials and trying to limit the visual impact. I don't know if anyone else has already done something similar but anyway i put here my design. The project is very simple What you need: * plexiglass( the cheapest you can find in a brico center/leroy merlin etc.. is just fine) : open the picture hero on thingiverse to see cutting measures (in mm ). ps: measure as you can see in pictures are very precise because of the cad, but you can cut with +-1 mm tolerance without any problem( in case just adjust the measure with an iron/wood file) *glue for plexiglass ( just a little suggestion: if you put plexy scraps in the acetone for 24/48 hours you'll get a pasty compond that is perfect to join and jlue plexiglass part.) under the summary you can find a little video about it *some m3 screws and nuts printed piece
