This is a laser cut hood with a few printed parts for a Makerbot replicator 2. I designed it for my future heated built platform, improve overall print quality, especially during winter and hopefully reduce the amount of filament jams. The top panel can be opened to provide access to extruder when changing filaments. Instructions Use the included .dxf for the laser cutter to cut the panels. The enclosure is designed for 4.5mm thick panels. Anything thicker won't fit the 3d printed parts. Add engravings if you want to. 1x front panel 2x side panel 1x top panel 1x rear panel Printed parts: 4x corner stand bottom 2x corner stand top rear 1x corner stand top front left 1x corner stand top front right layer height 0.25mm or less infill 20% shells 2 Assemble test fit the assembly on your Makerbot. I used special acrylic glue to weld the side and front panels of the enclosure together. Use a strap or something similar to hold everything firmly together when welding the panels.
