End Feed Half Wave Transformer case for T140-43 and SO239
thingiverse
This is an end feed half wave antenna case designed specifically for use with a T140-43 toroid featuring an SO239 connector. To complete this project, you'll need some enameled copper wire, a T140-43 toroid, 100pf - 110pf silver mica capacitors rated at 1-2kv, and banana plugs, along with various connectors and wire. When operating this antenna, it's recommended to limit the power input to no more than 100w on SSB modes and 50w for CW and data transmission. Only a resonant half band of wire is needed to be attached to the banana plug for the antenna to function effectively. Due to the toroid mix suggested above, I recommend using this antenna primarily on the 80-10m bands. The case's size allows you to stack two T140-43 toroids if desired. Keep in mind that this design operates as a broad band impedance transformer, requiring the antenna to be resonant at its lowest frequency operation to access higher frequency bands successfully.
