This is my first remix. There were a couple different reasons I started this remix. One is I wanted to change most of the screws to use heat-set inserts, allowing for easier disassembly/reassembly. I also had no need of the buck converters or relays. Due to size constraints and the standard size screws for a Raspberry Pi, all heat-set inserts were designed for M2.5. I did want to add a fan controller for the two fans. I found a controller board with an adjustable thermostat on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09L1HJSG3). I am also working on a couple of experimental features in my design. One of these is building a cable chain mounted to the back of the right box. Because of the fan placement, it doesn't really line up with the wires on the bed. I haven't yet created a chain mount for the bed that aligns with this yet, so there will likely be changes. While not ideal for cooling, I might end up moving the controller board further right and placing the fan left of the controller board, allowing the cable chain mount to better line up with the wires on the bed. Another experimental feature shouldn't be in the way if you don't need it, but I'm contemplating adding the ability to monitor my printer's power supply. I am curious as to the power fluctuations of things, such as when the bed heater or extruder are in use, along with the different motors. I'm sure there are a LOT of fluctuations during the printing process. By using a slightly modified INA219 sensor board and a shunt resistor, I should be able to monitor this with my Raspberry Pi. I had to modify my original design for the shunt resistor and now have it placed on its side, screwed to a platform on the back wall of the left side box. It uses M5 threaded inserts. I have included my OpenSCAD file, which I've hopefully made to be easier to understand.
