Note: If you prefer the larger 608 bearings (8x22x7), I also did a 608 version of the lower guide, and the 608 guide is recommended over this one if you have a 608 bearing to use: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3085154 These upper and lower filament guides use MR105 5x10x4 Ball Bearings to help the filament feed more smoothly in a curved path that doesn't stress the filament or place excess drag on the filament feed drive. Required hardware for Upper Guide: (2) MR105 Ball Bearings (2) M5 x 20mm Screws (2) M5 x 8mm Screws (2) M5 T Nuts (4) M5 Hex Nuts Required hardware for Lower Guide: (1) MR105 Ball Bearing (1) M5 x 20mm Screw (2) M5 Hex Nuts Pull the filament out of the extruder & Bowden tube prior to installation. Upper Installation: 1. Attach the ball bearings to the guide using the M5 x 20mm screws as axles. 2. Secure each screw with an M5 hex nut, but do not tighten (only turn it until it hits the plastic, so as not to compress the plastic). 3. Use a second hex nut as a locking nut so both hex nuts are locked together. 4. Using the M5 x 8mm screws and T nuts, mount the upper guide to the top rail of the Ender 3 (Z drive or left side), right over top of, and in between the existing screws holding the top rail to the vertical rail. Lower Installation: 1. Attach the ball bearing to the guide using the M5 x 20mm screw as an axle. 2. Secure each screw with an M5 hex nut, but do not tighten: Only turn it until it hits the plastic, so as not to compress the plastic. 3. Use a second hex nut as a locking nut so both hex nuts are locked together. (The photo shows a T nut instead of two hex nuts, because I didn't have M5 hex nuts available when I took the photo.) 4. Unfasten the nylon nut from the bolt that secures the wheel just above the X stepper motor. 5. Place the assembly over the bolt such that the contour of the part matches the contour of the metal plate, and tighten the nut.the top rail to the vertical rail.
