I was having issue with proper belt alignment for my Y Axis (bed), belt always ended up sliding to one side of the pulley causing friction on the side of the belt. I figured out the motor support into the frame is probably not bent in a perfect 90º, causing the misalignment. This shim allows to compensate for that (place it between the motor support bracket and the 40×40 aluminum extrusion for the Y-axis base) and now my belt stays centered on the pulley the whole time.
