Update 5.8.2021: Added a first Design for a normal V6 Hotend. I'd recommend the Donut Mount to save some weight in less structural part for less moving mass! A Direct Drive Hotend Assembly for my E3D V6 Volcano Hotend with a BMG Extruder and a BLTouch Mount. Full Metal! I wanted a light but sturdy design without any frills. Parts: BMG Extruder with a Pancake Stepper Motor E3D V6 Hotend (optional Volcano) 4020 Fan 5015 Fan for Part cooling (BLtouch) For assembly you need: 6x M3x20mm screws 2x M3 Nuts or you could just screw into your print Maybe longer screws to mount the BMG. I had really short screws with my BMG, so i just drilled the screw holes of my BMG a bit deeper. Slicing: Baseplate - 3 perimeters, bottom- and top-layers; 40% Infill, Support everywhere except all the screw holes Part1 - 3 perimeters, bottom- and top-layers; 40% Infill, Support everywhere except all the screw holes Part2 - 3 perimeters, bottom- and top-layers; 20% Infill, touching buildplate support You really want to print in PETG, ABS or something equal. PLA will melt obvioulsy because it is close to the hotend, but also the extruder stepper motor gets really hot.
