Ender 3 cable chains

Ender 3 cable chains

Cable chains for Ender 3, remixed from two things. ### What is changed - Extruder's hotend mount shifted to the right, so the cable bends less. - Bed mount with grooves. It allows you to screw the mount close to the bed, no backlash. - Chain link without useless overhangs. Walls are stronger. - Bed spring compensator. It's my addition, not a remix. **Update 09.04.2020** Added _hydra chain head.stl_ for the [Hydra Fan Duct & Tool Change System](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4062242) You don't need this if you're using the stock Ender 3 cooling system. ### Index _You can use an index image, but it was taken from the original thing and doesn't match with my names._ **Z axis** _14-16 chain links._ link.stl link cover.stl _Mounting to the left leg, at the top._ mount top.stl _Mounting in the area of the extruder. Just hanging on the cable, no hooking to the frame._ x end.stl x end cover.stl **Y axis, bed** _15-16 chain links._ link.stl link cover.stl _Mounting to the left leg, from the side._ mount side.stl _Mounting to bed_ bed corner.stl bed corner cover.stl bed spring compensator.stl - 3 qty **X axis, hotend cable** _17 chain links._ link.stl link cover.stl _Mounting to extruder._ extruder side mount.stl x end cover.stl _Mounting and hotend side. 40mm between the centers of the axes of the rollers._ hotend side mount.stl OR hydra chain head.stl // if you're using Hydra cooling system, see "Update 09.04.2020" above. ### My recomendation You'll spend a lot of time to printing _all_ chain links, and it will turned out they not so required. But, some parts turned really useful: 1. whole **X axis, hotend cable** part. It allows to unbind PTFE tube from cables. 2. bed corner.stl (without cover!) - securely fixed table cables. 3. bed spring compensator.stl. It will setup all springs to the same height; easier to calibrate the table. That's all what is "good to have", but you can print all chains of course :)
