Ender 3 Extruder Filament Guide

Ender 3 Extruder Filament Guide

There are so many filament guides here, that it took a while before I found something that looked like it might work for me. I started out using another Thingverse Ender 3 extruder filament guide that I downloaded here, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3010366. It worked fine, but it basically just pushed on, without any particular alignment capabilities, and did not actually cover the Z axis rod if not aligned correctly. Even though my guide was completely redesigned from scratch, I did get some of my concepts from this existing design. I wanted something that pushed and snapped into place with a repeatable and more precise alignment to the Z axis rod and the extruder itself. I also wanted more protection from the Z axis rod. Instead of using the two screws on the Z axis threaded bushing to hold the filament guide down, as some designs have done, I made a snap fit that slides around the these two screws instead. No tools or extra parts to hold or align this extruder filament guide in place. This part is meant to be oriented with the outside opening, face down on the print bed, without raft or supports (basically, 180 degree flipped over from the Thingview orientation).
