Ender-3 horizontal spool mount (90 degrees) for tight space I've got an issue with spacing after building a chamber for my ender 3 where the spool would be a bit higher than the top of my improvised chamber. I was looking for options to move the spool at the back or side of the printer, but it did not fit anyplace. So, I decided to remix existing parts in order to revert the spool holder to 90 degrees. It works just fine and can be rotated to either direction on the top of the printer. !!! IMPORTANT !!! It makes sense to print it as is without changing the orientation. It will produce some supports, but such orientation will provide better horizontal strength and you need that as your spool will work as leverage (and will generate more than 0.1nm of torque from a full spool). I took a piece of rubber and placed it under the middle of the metal hand to decrease leverage. Better to locate the spool to the right side, so it locates on top of the power supply and will not prevent you from printing tall objects (unlike on my photos).
