Ender 3 LED Strip Holder with USB connection

Ender 3 LED Strip Holder with USB connection

I recently found myself with leftover parts from a couple of different projects, specifically LED strip lighting, some m3 socket head cap screws, and some small Micro USB breakout boards. These LED strips can be cut to length to suit the application. The excess lights would in most cases become e-waste, but with a bit of soldering, can be re-purposed to output white light. There are +5V, R, G, and B terminals on the strip, between each LED. connecting +5V to the the +5V terminal, and ground to the Red, Green and Blue terminals makes the entire remaining strip light up white. Using McSaggy's Ender 3 LED strip holder as a starting point, I took his design into TinkerCAD and added a housing for the Micro USB breakout board, so I could re-purpose my leftover strip lights and have a neat USB power connection, right on the LED light assembly. With the LED strips I used, the whole thing is just about the exact length for six LEDs. Other items you need: Leftover 5V USB powered strip lights m3 screws Micro USB Breakout boards Soldering iron (mine is electric, 10W) Solder Hookup wire I had these items left-over from previous projects, so this project basically cost me the filament needed to print it.
