Ender 3 max rmeanwell psu relocation cage. Needed after fitting a dual z axis lead screw kit. This was my first version and was somewhat over engineered. I later went over the design and did a new version that is less substantial but still more than strong enough. The 2 new revisions are here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5161606 Cage itself is a one piece print. Frame rail mounts are in two versions. the first and simplest just uses two side slots. the second uses 2 side slots and one top. There are end stop half support width versions for both these designs to allow the cage fitting to move further along the frame rail away from the gantry frame. There is a large hole in the cage base to allow the power plug through. When fitting the mounts, If you are not using the cable tie option (that would also give correct alignment I designed it to) remember to keep this hole clear. All the brackets are slotted and when aligned with the correct holes of the cage you can run cable/zip ties through to reinforce the connection. I would still advise using superglue, as although the cable ties work fine on their own, they do allow some wobble that will not be present if glued. There are 2 versions of the cage. one without the vent and one with. The vent was a bit of fun really and is not needed. I only included it because one of my demo pics showed it. If you want that cover, it is probably better to do it separately so I have included an end cap option for those who might want it. Personally? I wouldn't bother with it. Printing.:- print the cage in the orientation it is being used. supports not needed though it will need to bridge the opening in the side. If in doubt use tree supports. I didnt print mine with supports. For support wedges, print on their sides. for half height versions print with the empty bit upwards. printed at 35 infill in pla Note. I did a faster printing version that prints in one piece, uses inbuilt bracketry and uses less pla. It is untested but I see no reason it should not work.
