Ender 3 Pro Dual Extruder Stepper Mount

Ender 3 Pro Dual Extruder Stepper Mount

This mount is intended for dual extruder Ender 3 Pro setups. While it is designed to allow the use of the original stepper mounting screws, I do suggest getting slightly longer screws as even though it's only 0.5mm thick, it will make them easier to strip out. This is especially true if your printer is not well calibrated and your low layer heights are inaccurate. Ideally you also have a stepper motor with a D-shaft so that you can move the gear up to compensate for the slight height change. I suggest printing this in ABS, ASA, or Polycarbonate. Extruder steppers can get rather warm after prolonged printing (particularly if enclosed) and I wouldn't trust lower temp materials to hold up in the long haul. Due to the added weight of a second stepper you will also want to purchase an anti-backlash nut. Simply tightening down the v-rollers is not a good solution by any means. A dual stepper z-axis or dual belted z-axis is not necessary, although is a more expensive alternate solution to an anti-backlash nut.
