Extruder motor mount to move away from Z-Axis Screw. Comes with the option of two top sections, one with filament runout sensor (using Z-Axis Switch) and the other without. I didnt like how close the filament ran to the Z-Axis screw shaft and was paranoid it would pick up grease on the way into the hotend. Note that the Malrin firmware will need to be edited for switch to function. Also you will need to change #define FILAMENT_CHANGE_UNLOAD_LENGTH to 0. Due to the design of the switch there is a chance that the broken filament can catch the switch actuator arm and damage it, if the filament is allowed to unload on its own. In my experience the filament usually breaks at the extruder sprocket interface. This will negate the auto unload as the extruder will not have any grip on the filament, thus requiring the the bowden cable to be removed. The new mount comes with two cable tie mounts for supporting the hotend cables and the top section with the filament runout sensor has a cable tie mount for the switch cables. It is worth noting, that due to the design, the extruder sprocket needs to be lifted up to catch the filament properly. This leaves very little room on the extruder motor shaft to fit the extruder handle, if you have one fitted. Therefore, if you really need the handle, do not print off this mod. The M6 push fit connections screw in as the thread is drawn in the design, however I used a little super glue just to help keep them snug. The bottom section of the mount has material removed so that the motor has exposed surface area to keep cool and also to save on filament. I also put a mount on the unused space of the top section with the filament runout, for future light / camera / anything else.
