Ender 3 PSU Cover - 80 mm Silent Fan

**Ender 3 Silent PSU** - This is a 80mm fan holder replacement for the Ender 3 PSU 60mm. - With this project you can (optionaly) reduce the PSU noise a lot. **Material** - 12V 80mm Fan (I used the ARTIC F8) - 4 PC fan screw - Soldering Kit - 2 wire cable ~10cm ~AWG 20-24 - DC-DC LM2596 from Amazon (optional if the built in fan is 12v) **Warning** - Some Ender 3 PSU have a 24V build in fan, other have a 12V one. - *The DC-DC Buck is optional only if the build in fan is 12v* **Make the PSU silent !** - A 80mm fan will need less speed that the 60mm fan to cool the PSU ! This way you can reduce the noise ! **Guide 24V built in fan or 12V silent mode** 1. Remove the original PSU cover 2. Take a picture or note the original fan cable polarity 3. Compare the Original PSU cover with the 3d model to be sure the holes are at the same place 4. Print the right PSU plate upside down 5. Print the 80mm Fan Cover upside down 6. Test if the PSU plate fit in the PSU box 7. Connect the DC-DC to the PSU 24V output and set the output voltage * Dont connect the fan yet ! (You could burn it) 8. (With PSU off) Cut the 80mm fan cable and solder it to the DC-DC output 9. Ajust the DC-DC voltage to an acceptable fan noise level * Be careful not to go above 12V 10. Cut the original 60mm cable connector and connect it to the DC-DC input 11. Pass the cable, connect and close every thing ! * Some Ender 3 PSU Fan will only turn on while the temperature or the power is very high **Guide 12V fan without voltage reduction** 1. Use the previous guide, but don't use a DC-DC 2. Cut the original fan cable and solder the new fan cable to it **Any comment or suggestion are strongly appreciated !
