Ender 3 Screwless Ball Bearing Filament Guide

Ender 3 Screwless Ball Bearing Filament Guide

thingiverse

A filament guide designed to slide onto the edge of an ender 3's extruder plate by the V-Roller. This remix completely eliminates any need for additional screws and is fine tuned to line up with the stock or metal upgraded extruder. I unfortunately lost most of my photos from when I had it mounted with the metal extruder but I remounted it just so you can see the completed product in place. It requires a single skate board bearing that snap fits into the center of the roller and then snap fits onto the stem of the mount. Once or twice I had a really tightly wound filament or the end of a roll work its way off the roller so I design a version with stems to hold the filament in place but it was never tested as this was so rare and would make feeding filament harder but it is there as an option. The Roller is presupported as there is no setting in any sliced that could produce easily removable supports in such a tight space. They have a 0.2 layer sized gap top and bottom and are well spaced so that they should be extremely easy to twist out.
