Ender 3 V2 18mm Auto Level Probe Holder

Ender 3 V2 18mm Auto Level Probe Holder

I needed a holder for my 18mm Autolev auto bed leveling sensor, and this is what I came up with. I'm a boomer trying to figure this stuff out, so it's not as polished as it might be, but it works, which what matters most to me. I think it would be easy to modify to fit any size probe. This is my first Thingiverse submission. Probably not my last. The plate holding on the fan shroud for the Ender 3 V2, is different from previous versions of the Ender 3. Useful mounting holes in the old models, don't exist on the new one. As a result, I had to think a bit out of the box, to make a probe holder that could be installed without need for drilling or otherwise permanently modding anything and would work with many different shrouds. I have included pics with the stock shroud as well as the Mini Me Duct. I designed it to be friction fit (it is very secure on mine) but there is a tab that can be drilled out to allow for the stock fan shroud bolt, to be used from the back (you might need a longer bolt). If you are using something like the Mini Me Duct, you can use the stock bolt hole, and screw or bolt it from the front. There is a cutout to allow room for the X axis limit switch. I sliced this with function, not form in mind, so it's a bit rough and required a bit of trimming to get it to fit. You might have to trim the 'drop down tab' in the back, to make it easier to install or if you don't want to use the stock fan shroud bolt. It fits very tightly and the bolt probably isn't necessary anyway but I thought I'd offer that option. I designed it using Fusion 360. I printed it using esun PLA+, 215c hotend and 70c bed.
