Ender 3 V2 Filament Guide

Ender 3 V2 Filament Guide

This Filament Guide is the first thing I created start to finish. It ain't pretty but it works well. I wanted something that would use a wheel and have minimum drag on the filament, while guiding it straight into the extruder. I designed it to use no hardware to assemble or mount it on the printer. It has a friction fit and is easy to remove to gain access to the extruder. The Z stepper motor gets warm so there are plenty of cooling vents. It has 4 parts which are printed (with duplicates) into 7 pieces and are assembled into the unit. I printed the wheel in halves, because that's just easier. I stuck them together with super glue. The hole for the axle is designed at 8mm, but usually ends up smaller in printing so I make the Axle 7.5mm in diameter. (Mine is loose but it spins freely so that works for me). There are 3 spacers, 2 on either side of the wheel (spacers), and one to stop everything from sliding off of the axle. Their ID is 7.7mm and with a little work, they slide over the axle. They are snug enough (for me) that I don't think they need glue, but you do you.
