# Ender 3 V2 - Yet An Other Spool And Cable Guide I have recently acquired a Ender3 V2, and had some fun making a spool and cable holder. The idea here is that I wanted the least possible weight on the X axis and the extruder, as well as having a relatively constant force pulling the filament, no matter at which position the extruder is. I must agree that the design is not the most minimalist, and one could argue that having a second bowden tube only adds friction, but it works in my case. (even if I have the updated metal filament extruder) If you like the design, or want to modify the files, leave a comment and I will add a link to my google drive with the .SLDPRT and .STEP files. #### Printing the files I have used support material in almost every cases, as the overhangs were a bit to steep in most cases, but I was maybe a bit to cautious. Anyways, you likely will have to change the settings for each part, as for example the onFrameFilamentGuide requires a bit more material and stiffness as the the other parts. But I have no default value to give. ### Material And Tools Needed As I had ordered the 'capricorn' boden tube I had a good piece left over, as well as the old bowden tubing. So I decided to include them in this project. You will need : - Some bowden tubing to go from the spool to the zAxis holder, in my case what was left over of the Capricorn tubing. - Some other bowden tubing cut in half to hold the extruder cable in the air - One screw for holding the spool holder extension to the frame, and two screws for mounting the original spool holder on the extension. M3 I guess - A lot of small zip ties ### Notes The Z axis filament guide is just popped on but is a bit tight, I had to use bit of force to get it in place.
