For a few years now I have been building up a large collection of busts, cosplay, props and all sorts of models that were made for the Patreon page, if you would like to check out the models that some of the 400+ members are enjoying printing, please join our facebook group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/333491834120262/ Currently all new members receive access to the older models released, so we are talking suits, Full scale prints (like 1:1 scale articulated Droideka...) helmets, detailed busts and dioramas all for the low subscription of $10 a month. If you think this might be for you, please click on the link below or through the facebook page. https://www.patreon.com/Geoffro If you're going to make a fan cover, why not do it with some style. The V8 scoop part, airfilter and cover were remixed from DarkDragons V8 engine modified the base and innards and added a lever (as the original is servo driven) Pretty simple to print, screws required are M1.2 x 4mm - thats if you dont just glue the cover on the front If you do want to go fancy, screws: 4 x required for front cover, 2 needed for optional back air filter. 3D printing settings The main Supercharger- although temping to print upright (and you can seeing as the front is completely flat ) it all comes down to your printer - if it can handle very detailed first layers- got for it, but if your printer likes larger flat first layers - go with the default print orientation. All can be printed without supports, bridging is gradual so no need to up the speeds. Slow first layers down as they have some small rotations, also does help if you add 3-4 top layers for everything else. The inlet can be tricky to print , suggest no less than 0.2mm and print a little slow, around 50ms
