I wanted a way to ensure that the bed adjustment wheels don't move after the bed is adjusted. Even with the yellow springs nearly fully compressed the wheels seemed to be moving and I had to make adjustments more often than I would like. Initially I wanted to design a mechanism similar to a brake drum with a locking lever but started to have concerns about adding too much weight so decided to scrap that idea for now. This is actually what was supposed to be the center hub for the locking mechanism so I may be able to refine it but it works better than I thought it would as is, This basically just creates friction with the bed adjustment wheels and the carriage plate locking them in place. While this works best with higher spring compression, I wouldn't recommend compressing the springs all the way as you could damage your machine if the print head hits something and there is no give. In addition to this part, if you loctite a nut on the bottom side of the bed to keep the screws from spinning you shouldn't have to worry about leveling your bed nearly as often. Printed with TPU
