Ender 3 Y Axis Stepper Mount

Ender 3 Y Axis Stepper Mount

This mount is intended to be used on an Ender 3 Pro Y-Axis. The mount has a 9mm offset so it can be used with larger motors, or stepper motor dampers. My machine is equipped with a 48mm stepper motor which necessitated this mount. This stepper is also mounted ~3mm higher than the stock, which eliminates the need for an idler, which simplifies the stock design. The belt can be wrapped 180 degrees within the 40x40 t-slot tube to wrap with the flat end on the tension idler, improving print quality. This is the 5th iteration of the design, it has been improved to be easier to install, and made stiffer. It is recommended to print with 5-6 walls with a 0,4mm nozzle and a high infill (50%+) to maximize stiffness. I use PLA and have had 0 issues with proximity to my bed. Some support is required! I could have designed it support less, however I thought the extra stiffness warranted it. I've designed it to minimize the need for support in certain areas. You will need longer M3 screws if upgrading from the sheet metal mount provided by Creality.
