--- Update 6-10-2020 --- Added Ender 5 Dual Z - Rod Bracket - Upper v2 - Adjustable v6.stl. This can be used for the upper rod mount. My frame was not square so the distance from the rods was greater at the top and was causing binding. This adjustable bracket was used to keep the rod-to-rod spacing the same. This can only be used on the top. Using on the bottom will throw off rod-to-leadscrew alignment. --- Update Done --- This is Version 2 of this mod: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3784970 This mod requires replacing the top left and right extrusion with 2040. This is required to allow space to mount the top rod brackets. This also gives the added benefit of raising the extruder up 20mm to be more easily viewed and to allow more Z travel. Be mindful of belt routing when mounting the rod brackets. A linear rail mod might be able to be used instead of replacing the extrusion. Version 2 was created to allow the bed to be centered and rotated. Centering the bed will allow for a larger bed in the future. Rotating the bed allows ease of unloading/loading and viewing the print. Please note that the inside version was not tested by me. There was very little room for the leadscrew because of the stock metal bracket. For this reason, a new motor mount was created for the inside version, however, the stock motor mounting plates can also be used. If someone tests the inside version I would appreciate some feedback on it. This mod was made to stabilize the bed. Side-to-side and up/down movement is common with a cantilever bed. Bed supports help but do not cure the problem. I had some waviness in my walls as well as bed sag with heavy prints until this mod was added. You will need the leg spacers if you plan on using a regular size stepper motor. If you have a pancake like the stock one, the spacers are not needed. I moved my electronics enclosure to free up room at the bottom. The Z carriage might hit your electronics enclosure if not moved. If it does, I think you will only lose about 5-10mm of Z travel but this is not verified. BOM: 4 - 10mm Rods - Check your spacing between your frame and make 1mm or so shorter. Mine where roughly 397mm long. 4 - 10mm long bearings - LM10LUU 2 - T8 Leadscrew - 380mm but can be slightly longer or shorter 2 - T8 Anti backlash nut 2 - 5mm-to-8mm Coupler Stepper motor and cable Misc M3 screws for stepper Misc M5 screws and T nuts for upper and lower mounts Misc M4 screws and nuts for carriage bracket/clamp
