UPDATE 05/07/2020 I have not had a change to update this due to printing PPE full time. I had some good questions asked, to help out I have loaded a PDF file with information that should help. After 6 months of using the Ender 5 Plus with the original control box removed, I am happy with the results. It is so easy to access all of the components and it makes the wiring much easier to manage and change. New pictures added of current setup. This is still a work in progress, trying to clean up cables and improve management. It is becoming apparent that the first mod on an Ender 5 Plus should be to upgrade the power supply. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I ran out of room in the stock electronics enclosure and could not get the wiring from the Hemera to the box. I had good success with changing my Ender 5, and did the same thing to the Ender 5 Plus. Many of the printed parts are for TH3D products, which needed extra space and mounts to hold them. This mod also allows for better cable management and access to all of the components. After much research and trouble shooting I finally figured out the correct cable swapping to get it to work. Th3D was very helpful in working with me on this. I would recommend a exact drop in screen instead. CHPOWER Creality Ender 3 Original LCD Display Board https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NZ9SD26/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is much easier to extend the ribbon cables, since it has only one cable. All of the printed parts are easy to modify if needed. I mounted everything to a piece of hardboard - (pegboard with out the holes). Mark the locaions of the mounts, drill holes and use bolt and nuts to attach the parts. I used M4 bolts and t-nuts to mount the board on the back of the frame. I have the parts and tools to make new cables, this makes this easy to modify. This mod is not necessary but makes it much easier to add and change parts.
