Ender 5+ Stop the squeak

Ender 5+ Stop the squeak

Plagued by squeaky Z Lead screws on the Ender 5+, tried all the remedies found online, lubrication etc... Still squeaky. I noticed when the bed was moving to the lower positions and a lot of lead screw was above the lead screw nuts, both of the lead screws showed visible runout at the top of the threads, a distinct "wobble" at the unsupported lead screw ends. I considered this may be related to the squeak as the squeak only occurs when the bed is toward the top of the lead screws. Regardless I believe that supporting the lead screws and keeping them centered at the top of the frame could only improve the printer. I designed the supports so that they would accept a 28mm OD bearing with a 12mm ID, I had to print some inserts to adapt the 12mm ID to 8mm ID to accept the 8mm OD lead screw. 28mm OD bearings are a nice interference fit into the supports and the inserts are also a nice interference fit into the bearings 12mm ID. The design could be adapted to accept 22mm OD x 8mm ID standard skateboard bearings however I cannot confirm if the 8mm ID bearing will fit over the 8mm OD lead screw! Once installed the squeak magically disappeared! You will also need 16mm M5 button head screws (x4) and 4x M5 twist in T nuts and of course 2x 28mm OD x 12mm ID bearings.
