Ender S1 ribbon cable support

This is not a remix. It may look like others on this platform but it is a complete redesign from the ground up.

Advantages over others:-

It is extremely accurate and will fit your sprite extruder perfectly if you have your printer set up correctly.

It has a steeper cable exit. The cable will always hit the gantry when homing, but that cant be avoided. Its just the way the sprite has been designed by creality with the cable coming out the centre of the extruder. But this support causes way less kink than the original part and some others on here.

You do not have to trim back the locking levers. It will fit perfectly and the locking levers will still operate with it in place. Unlike some others. Please check your E steps and flow rate. This is a very tight tolerance to clear these levers.

Print in the orientation shown. The securing clip actually goes on the opposite way to the way its printed. It has a chamfer designed to not scrunch up the cable reinforcing material as you slide it on. This chamfer needs to be on the bottom.

If you have any problems, if you politely let me know, I'll do what I can to help.

I HAVE MADE SOME SMALL ADJUSTMENTS SINCE I FIRST POSTED THIS. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION FOR BEST RESULTS. I haven't tried. I use Prusa slicer with paint on supports on the bottom of the two small cable securing tabs on the main unit. It prints fine like this and is very strong due to the 100% infill. Feel free to experiment with less if you want to.
I use PETG by im pretty sure PLA would be fine too

Category: 3D Printer Extruders
