UPDATE: 24/4/21: I will no longer be updating this design as I will focus more on Gen 3 design and a fan duct system that can be used for both bowden and direct drive system. The STEP file of the main body is included for anyone who wants to remix it. thank you all. Update 18 Feb 2021: I have edited the design of the opening of the 4010 fan duct to be slighting away (additional 2mm) from the heat block. Update 25 Jan 2021: 1. Updated the Main_Body stl and step file. The holes for the hotend mount is slightly redesigned to give a snug fit. Depending on how well your printer is calibrated and the type of filament, You many need to sand the holes slightly wider to fit. 2. BL touch offset is X=30 Y=-9 3. Uploaded 5015_Duct_test_09b.stl. I notice that during fast print, the opposite side to the duct is not getting enough air flow at 50% of fan speed. Hence in this updated design, the angle is set to 48 degree. You will also need to set the fan speed to be between 60-70%. Update 18 Jan 2021: 1. Uploaded version 9 of the 5015 single fan duct left side. I gave a 2mm clearance to the tip of the nozzle. Air flow is pointed under the nozzle towards the print. If you want the fan duct to be installed on the right side, just mirror it on the slicer. 2. STL file for BL bracket is designed for the right side. If you want to install it on the left side, just mirror the print on the slicer. 3. Uploaded 4010 stock fan duct. Left and Right version available. I personally have not print to test as I run 5015 single fan . If you are using 4010 fan, please feedback on the results if there is a need to modify it. thanks This is the second version of my fan duct system for Ender 3 & Ender 5. Mainly for stock hot end. You can also try it on the microswiss all metal hotend it should fit. (Do feedback if it works) This version of Main_Body uses M3x8 mounting points on both sides. I decide to design it that way for more flexibility to users to put the cooling duct or BL touch on whichever side they prefer. I have also redesign it to have no leaking air on the heat block and print. I have uploaded my version of the BL bracket and fan duct. If you want to swap sides, all u need to do is to mirror it on the slicer. Mounting the Main_body and 4010 axial fan uses the same M3 screws from stock. additionally u will also M3x8 screws and nut to mount the BL bracket and fan duct. Been using this Main_Body in PLA for a combine 30hr of printing. It is still holding out.
