Modular art work derived from my 123D Catch scan of the North Lion from the Art Institute of Chicago. Each module prints without support. but will be a bit scraggly underneath due to lack of said scaffold. This sculpture was intended to stack at least twenty modules tall - however after about 10 it starts to arc and lose it's balance. I have resolved to create "Flion Buttressing" to solve this problem. This will be published as a separate Thing as soon as my schedule permits the time to prototype it. If anyone wants to do it - all i ask is that the buttressing connect in some way to the bolts embedded in the lion shoulders - or at least that was my intention.
