Endoscope Holder for Rostock Max V2

This is a small endoscope/borescope holder for the Rostock Max V2 printer which has been upgraded with the 713Maker aluminum effector plate for ball cup joints. It may work with other effector plates. The tab slot will slip right onto one of the three tabs (which are usually used to hold layer cooling fans.) The vertical distance from the bottom of the tab slot (same as the bottom of the effector plate) to the lowest point of the tube is 13.25mm. This means the tip of the nozzle must extend a bit more than 13.25mm below the bottom surface of the effector plate so that the holder will clear the print. The tube is angled 10 degrees down from horizontal toward the nozzle. I did not provide a hole to fasten the holder to the effector plate tab - you can drill one that suits your positioning. A couple important dimensions: Tube diameter: 7.75mm as printed. Too small? It can be drilled out a bit, the walls are 1.4mm thick. Too big? You can cut a slot the length of the tube and squeeze the tube with a twist-tie or similar. Slot dimensions: 8.25mm x 2.0mm x 15.5mm as printed Print settings: Nozzle: 0.25mm Line width: 0.20mm Layer height: 0.15mm Printing speed: 30mm/s Infill: 100% although less will work too No support needed Position the unit so the wide part (the exit end of the tube and slot) is on the plate. Takes about 50 minutes to print. I used PLA, but you may want to use ABS depending on how much heat reaches the holder on your setup. Print Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX v2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .20mm width, .15mm layer height Infill: 100% but not critical Notes: Nozzle: 0.25mm (it is a small part - larger nozzles may not give the resolution you want) Line width: 0.20mm Layer height: 0.15mm Printing speed: 30mm/s No support needed Position the unit so the wide part (the exit end of the tube and slot) is on the plate. Takes about 50 minutes to print.
