Ive just recieved my new Endurance 10 Watt Laser and have been looking at someway to mount it to my Openbuilds Workbee 1050. Space is a premium in my shop so being able to keep it attached to my Machine was obvious. I didnt like the thought of mounting it to the front of the Z axis as I didnt want debris from the spindle getting caught up in the vents. Id previously thought of attaching to the X axis support rail but again I thought it would get clogged with the debris from the spindle. I decided to mount it to the side of the X Axis plate, just under the stepper motor giving me easy access to the control box.. My choice of PETG was purely for the fact that that is my prefered filament but using PLA should work just as well.
