Enhanced Fanatec Magnetic Paddle Shifter Mod (Parametric)

Enhanced Fanatec Magnetic Paddle Shifter Mod (Parametric)

[This](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3343488) seemed to be a perfectly fine mod but after printing it I noticed that it is too short / too far from the metal paddle arms to get a good magnetic pull, at least with the magnets I have. I remodelled the part from scratch in Fusion 360 (parametric model archive included), so you can easily change magnet size, length (to fit paddles installed closer or farther from the wheel) and more. With the magnets closer to the metal paddle arm and with more metal surface close to the magnet the pull is much more noticeable. You can also double the magnets for an even stronger pull. In the photos I use two magnets stacked on top of each other in each magnet hole. I also added some ribs for rigidity, but that probably has negligible effect on shifter feeling. The STL fits paddles attached in the second set of holes from the center of the wheel (see pictures). You will need to change the "length" parameter to shorten it a bit if you attach your paddles to the innermost set of holes on the shifter arms. I suggest printing it with 100% infill for rigidity, as it doesn't use much filament anyway. Hope you like it!
