[Jan 1, 2017] HEADS UP to those who may be about to print this design. You might want to postpone for a week or so as I am currently working on an all new, second generation design which will offer a number of significant improvements. This is an enlarged version of my G2S Universal Effector [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1356159]. It offers ample room for dual J-head extruders with their attached cooling fans. The extra clearance also means less dis-assembly is required during configuration changes. I also increased size of the print cooling port a bit, so I've included up-sized ducts, although technically the original ducts still fit but won't quite seal. All of the previously released adapters should fit easily onto this spider. You will need to adjust your firmware to account for the changed geometry. The radius of this spider is 12mm larger than stock. Maximum Z height will also decrease a bit, as a result (diagonal rods will be slightly more vertical when centered). Update: I beefed up the spider to better handle increased leverage between the more widely spaced diagonal rod pairs. Printing this using a material with a higher melting point compared to PLA is strongly recommended. The spider will be subjected to heat being dissipated from the extruder(s). Update: Posted rocking adapter for this spider.
