If you do any debugging with an ESP32 based board (or other JTAG-based boards), the ESP-prog is the "go to" device for integrating a full fledged debugger to your ESP32. The boards are readily available and cheap (sub-$20 US). I decided it was smart to put it in a case, but there are no mounting holes on the board at all so I designed a case that fits the board very tightly and has little click-latches built into the front and back walls to keep the board from falling out. Finger holes in the bottom are for pushing the board out and the two pushbuttons also have little pads under them to keep the board from rocking when you press either of the buttons. ESP-Prog can be found on amazon or Mouser. Integration with Arduino / PlatformIO / MS VSCode can be found by several folks including: https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Use-a-Debugger-on-an-ESP32/ and https://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/plus/debug-tools/esp-prog.html
