This is a custom modification of the NodeMCU V3 Case by jperson to accommodate the ESP32 WROOM module without the need for a cable hole. I'm using it as part of my ESP32 Bluetooth Low Energy Tracker Hub project, built with ESPHome. The base and lid sections have been reinforced with thicker bases. The USB port accommodates all types of MicroUSB cables seamlessly. While the assembly may be slightly snug, a bit of sanding is sufficient to achieve a precise fit.
