There are many applications that need a microcontroller running in the background all the time. For example, a gateway from the sensor network, a small web server, the database for home automation, and so on. In my case it is the gateway to the Hue lighting system. Such a small data center appliance should integrate as unobtrusively as possible into the environment. This nano data center is based on a Wemos D1 min ESP32 and has a 24 neopixel ring integrated (for optical alarms etc.) and a SPI port, for external connection of a nRF24 or LoRa module, is provided. All parts stick together and hold. No glue or screws are needed.
