I have an Observatory and needed to automate an extract fan based on temperature. I created a ESP8266 based controller complete with SSD1306 display. I used a BME280 which outputs: Temperature(x2), Humidity and Pressure. I dismantled a USB phone charger to use as the 5volt Power Supply. Note the cable clamp for the 230volt lead is held in place with two 3mm screws with the nuts set in the bottom of the case. I have heat inserted screw threads for the lid (not shown in this image) It has a Webpage for monitoring and changing set points. My intention is to add further code to the Arduino to control the additional 3 relay outputs.
