Summary This is a threaded nut to hold the steam wand onto the shaft of a Via Venezia Espresso coffee machine. Don't you hate it when the nut splits ? Now that I have created this, and it works, I can just print another if this one breaks down. Print Settings Printer: 3DStuffmaker Prusa Explorer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .4 Infill: 10% Notes: Orange PLA. Scale in X,Y axis by a couple of % if it's too tight. Post-Printing Printed in orange PLA, using Simplify3D to slice and print. Took about 9 minutes to print out each time. How I Designed This I measured the steam wand shaft diameter, the top hole diameter, then the thread diameter, and counted the threads along it's length. Then I guessed a lot. Turns out that this is a 12.44 mm shaft, with 1mm threads running about 5 threads per 6mm - approximately a 1.25H thread. It took 4 attempts and 2 redesigns, but I got it in the end. In the end, the nut is probably 12.6 mm, and fits tightly to the wand. Designed in 123D Design, after watching Calvin Echols "Create a Nut And Bolt in 123D Design for 3D Printing Tutorial" on YouTube.
