Experience the joy of designing a phone case or stand upon acquiring a brand new 3D printer! Check out my iPad stand creation for use at breakfast while catching up on news - it's a vertical tablet/e-reader stand. The basic design caters to iPad 2 & 3 without their covers, but more options exist in the instructions for different iPad models and cover usage. Print at 20% fill with exterior support for embossed text versions; set platform temp to 110C for reduced curl. Use raft support as needed. For variations, opt for eStand_plain.stl (no embossed text), eStand_deep.stl (with cover on), or eStand_deep_plain.stl (deeper reader, no text). The deeper channel versions are compatible with all iPads and standard covers.
