Estimote Case
thingiverse
I had to swap out the battery in one of my Estimote beacons, which forced me to take it apart by slicing open its casing. It's unfortunate that I had to sacrifice such a cool enclosure, so I decided to print a new one to replace it. The new case has roughly the same footprint as the original and provides a snug fit for the board, making it easy to assemble everything together - you might need to apply some force to get it open again. The design doesn't have the sleek faceted faces that made the original so appealing, but I did manage to add a small hole so that you can loop some string through it and hang it from something. I created this case using Tinkercad - feel free to play with the file here. The infill is at 5%, and there are three shells.
