There's this 12V to USB converter gizmo at the local autopart store where I get my power steering fluid, and I was thinking HEY I COULD POWER MY PHONE OR ARTURIA BEATSTEP WITH THAT and it seems to me 12v to the positive side and out to ground and you should be okay? The thing is pretty inexpensive at about 12$US and I have a printer at the house, so I thought I'd crank a rough faceplate out in OpenSCAD and TinkerCad I haven't tried it, yet, and I don't know that it will go smoothly so maybe disconnect your other modules from your case before you try! I will probably use a 12pin cable with an accident-proof tab to run the power from my supply to the spade connector on the back of the little unit. The thing measures 1 inch wide by 1.5 inches tall so this ought to pop in there very snugly! I'll post a picture of the exact unit when I get time. No warranties implied!
