Eva 3.0 for VzBot
prusaprinters
I wanted to use the Eva 3.0 toolhead on a VzBot style gantry. Adjusting the Y carriage slightly and adapting the Eva 3.0 tool head to MGN 9 (with a slight lift) seems to do the trick nicely. If using the Eva 3.0 tool head then belt tensioning can occur at the tool head allowing the use of the stationary motor mounts. MGN 9 adapter uses m3 nuts. This was tested and used with a VzBot 330 adaptation and is currently being used on an awd setup. I designed this before the vzbot printhead was released and before vzbot kits existed. The vzbot printhead will most likely allow for greater speed and is a rather flexible system but if you’re looking to leverage the Eva 3 tool head this will do the trick.I printed the Y gantry parts in 3 pieces rather than two, creating the spacer between the linear rail and guides as a separate piece with a thin connection for ease of print.
