This is an end cap for my little friend who loves to play princess. I created her a throne using the EverBlock starter kit and had some leftover material. So, I made these covers to finish off the edges. Initially, I tried printing a full cover but didn't have enough space on my printer. Therefore, I trimmed it down by an inch on both sides, flipped it 45 degrees to fit. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.02 Infill: 20% Notes: Using rafts is highly recommended; it works without them but leaves a rough surface underneath. After printing, I applied the smooth finish last. Princess P in her cozy throne How I Designed This I used Autodesk's free software, 123D Design to create this part. It was all about basic geometry and measurements, with a 0.05 chamfer on the clamps so it would still fit easily even if there were any slight miscalculations.
