Name: Red Mangrove Scientific: Rhizophora mangle This Variation: 5 of 20 Habitat: This plant thrives on coastlines in brackish water and in swampy salt-marshes in tropical and sub-tropical climates. Range: Found in estuarine ecosystems throughout the tropics. Widespread throughout the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Oceania, Australia, and other places. Notes: Probably the best known mangrove tree, this plant is characterised by its stilt roots giving it the well-known mangrove appearance. Its seeds fully develop on the plant before dropping and surviving up to a year in salt-water, hence it's ability to colonise new territories. Included in this Package: 7 models in total Standard -- 176,998 polygons -- 10.5m tall. Fully mature and fruiting. It is in relative health, showng some diseased and yellowing foliage as is normal. Useable in most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 218,251 polygons -- 11.3m tall. Showing an increased level of foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken branches. Unhealthy -- 197,998 polygons -- 11.3m tall. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dead -- 18,391 polygons -- 10.4m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage. Young -- 110,437 polygons -- 5.5m tall. Smaller tree some half way through it's maturing cycle. Immature -- 35,791 polygons -- 2.1m tall. Tree hasn't reached its mature aspect. Fewer branches and foliage and more erect in its posture. No Fruit -- 146,361 polygons -- 10.5m tall. Same as the standard model except fruit has not been generated. Useful in mid to distant renders where finer details are not needed, saving on poly-count and system resources. LowPoly variations available upon request.
