Exhaust Vent Mesh Covers

These two parts are designed to fit the smaller and larger exhaust vents on the exterior of my home. The goal is to prevent any wildlife or any other undesired objects from entering the vents; sometimes the flaps covering the vents get stuck so this adds a second layer of defense in case that happens.

These are designed as regular lattices but there are some screws that keep the vent in place. Simply clip that section of the lattice in order to keep the lattice flush against the vent.

Also see https://www.printables.com/model/265302-exhaust-vent-cover-flaps for exhaust vent cover flaps that match these vents.

Key Dimensions

See the photos section for a sketch of the two parts including their dimensions in millimeters.

Printing Advice

I printed this with the 0.15 mm layer height Quality preset and with ABS filament. I don't have an enclosure, but for an incredibly thin part I didn't suffer any warping or other issues. I did use Nano Polymer Adhesive to prevent damage to the PEI steel sheet print bed when I peeled the print off. I chose ABS due to temperature and general weather resilience (one of my vents is the dryer exhaust vent). I also found it to be very flexible yet durable on this extremely thin part.
