Zeus, disguised as a swan, seduced the Spartan queen Leda. The offspring from this sexual union were Helen (of Troy), Clytemnestra, and the divine twins Kastor and Polydeukes. The many surviving terracotta groups showing the myth resemble marble versions, the original of which has been attributed to the sculptor Timotheus.   This object is part of "Scan The World".
