Experimental Fiducial Markers for 3D Scanning

Experimental Fiducial Markers for 3D Scanning

thingiverse

This is a design in progress for markers to assist in 3D scanning. The markers can be used for fiducial, measurement, correction, documentation, alignment assist, and tracking. They are designed to print multiple markers as a sheet for easy transport, but you can also opt to not include sprue connections between the markers. You can choose to use numbers/letters or a basic 2 square centered target. You can choose to include ruler markings, and additional alignment options on the edges of the marker. SLA printers, and some online printing services, may require an increase in the size or number of sprue connections. Painting the top details to increase contrast may help in some situations.
