Extended Automated Build Platform

thingiverse

This is a derivative of MakerBot's Automated Build Platform, extended to be used for larger prints. It fits the two front screws of the stock MakerBot Replicator build plate, although the back should be secured seperately. Link to the original:http://wiki.makerbot.com/abpv1 This was designed to assist in research in genetic algorithms and evolutionary fabrication at Union College. All research is being performed in John Rieffel's Evolutionary Fabrication Lab. Link to the blog: http://evofab.wordpress.com/ Note: I take requests for 3D designs! Instructions The pieces were designed to be used with 3/8 inch material (acrylic, wood, etc.) and should be redesigned to allow tolerances for whatever material you would like to use. All of the pieces can be taken off of the original Automated Build Platform and attached to this model, including the heated PCB, if desired. It is important to note that the belt is now longer, and can be extended or replaced with a sheet of laminate. No gluing is required.
