This will allow you to use all of the available thread space on the buffer for the strongest possible buffer. The weakest section of the 3d printed buffer design is the thread stretched overt he top of the buffer under the charging handle. It must clear the charging handle, so reinforcing up and out is not possible. Therefore we can only extend it rearward.
