External Case for a Mini-ITX GTX 970 and EXP GDC Adapter (v8.0)

<p>This is an External Case for a Gigabyte Mini-ITX GTX 970 (GV-N970IXOC-4GD) and the EXP GDC External Video Card Adapter (v8.0) to allow the card to run external on my laptop. I'm using this mostly for a portable Oculus Rift laptop, so I've also included the face-plate with the Oculus logo.</p> <p>I didn't include the .stl for the handle, as it isn't my design. If you would like a handle you can download this handle, <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:179261">http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:179261</a> and scale it to size. The top of the case where the handle is mounted is a 156mm in length, but the handle I'm using is 148mm in length.</p> <p>Edit 5 years later: After several years of use I'd recommend you print this in ABS or another high heat filament, I printing mine in standard PLA and it started to warp after about a year or two of usage.</p> <h3>Post-Printing</h3> <p>I'm using 3M foam Double stick tape to mount the face-plate to the case, as I didn't want to use screws. I've travel quite a bit with the case now and have had no issues.</p> Category: Computer
