Extruded Aluminum Slide

Extruded Aluminum Slide

thingiverse

A light-weight slide for running on Rexroth (Bosch) 40x40 extruded aluminum. Instructions The fastener selection was entirely because that's what we have lots of at Vancouver Hacker Space. Also, the only reason why this is specific to the Rexroth extrusion is they have a little notch on the top edge of the t-slot. The roller may not fit correctly on other 40x40 sections. Other materials needed: 4x 608ZZ bearings 4x 5mm x 25mm(minimum) socket head cap screws 4x #8 x 1/2" Fillister head screws Print 4 copies of the carriage as well as 8 copies of the roller wheel. Roller wheel should be put on either side of a bearing set. The carrages get screwed to either side of the bearing as well. Screw the carriages together. All plastic holes are sized to allow a fastener through on one side and thread into the plastic on the other (hence light-weight). (modified STLs to put them flat)
